It has been scientifically proven that it’s not a person’s genes but their beliefs that influence their decision-making ability 95% of the time.

Most of our beliefs are stored in our subconscious mind. Many of these were instilled by the environment we grew up in. Although they were set up to assist us in life, they influence and often limit how we interact with the world.

Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT)

This simple process is an effective tool for everyone. EFT employs different modalities, including Acupuncture, Energy Medicine, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Thought Field Therapy.

Our thoughts, emotions and beliefs steer how we react and how we feel. This technique helps to address mental blocks, physical symptoms, and emotional issues, which then directly affect the choices we make. This gives us back the ability to choose our responses rather than react.

The process can be used on any issue, anywhere, and anytime. My clients often adopt this process for themselves, but initially, it is helpful to be guided and have it tailored to your situation.

Matrix Re-imprinting

This is one of my most powerful and liberating tools.

Often, we do not realise how much our situations can stay with us, playing on our minds unconsciously and shaping how we interact with new events. These situations may or may not seem similar, but they can trigger automatic responses in order to protect us. This is the magic of Matrix Re-imprinting – we find these unrecognised moments in our past and change the unconscious.

Instead of just eliminating a negative emotion that is attached to a memory, Matrix guides you in replacing it with a positive emotion. This way, stress decreases when you recall painful memories, and the body becomes increasingly free of the tension we hold unconsciously. It transforms the belief made in difficult or traumatic times that have been holding you back to a supportive belief. This allows you to transform how you act in the future.

Psych-K

This integrated approach to change melds contemporary and traditional strategies.

Psych-K is a non-invasive procedure for discovering key self-limiting beliefs. It uses muscle testing to identify these beliefs, replacing them swiftly with positive and enabling beliefs using various tools to cement them into your psyche, allowing you to choose how you want to be. Rather than constantly reacting, you’ll become more consciously aware and let go of the defences you use to protect yourself.

It is common not to recognise our self-limiting beliefs as they can be masked by more socially acceptable attitudes and behaviours. For example, a limiting belief that ‘I am not good enough’ can possibly underpin a constant need to support others (people pleasing) or being busy all the time can mask a ‘fear of intimacy’.

The first step is learning how to identify the beliefs that limit us, and sometimes, we need assistance in this process. Many patterns of behaviour and responses that were once helpful are no longer necessary or beneficial moving forward. Just as our clothes need to change as we grow because they no longer fit or suit our taste, beliefs need adapting and changing to accommodate our ever-maturing selves. However, sometimes, we are so attached to our way of thinking that it feels unsafe to change. This process is one of many I use to support you to do this.

Neuro Linguistic Programming

One of the great strengths of NLP is the way in which words and images can transform how we see and, thus, experience something. For example, the negative absolute statements that revolves around words or beliefs such as ‘never’, ‘can’t’, and ‘too hard’ can limit our capacity. Simple changes in how we speak and see ourselves can significantly change what we will try and potentially succeed in. In essence, it changes our focus. What we focus on influences what we experience. The best example of this was when I was looking to buy a car. Once I had decided on the model, I found myself readily noticing it everywhere. The frequency of this car did not change, but my attention did. This phenomenon can be used to our advantage in many areas of life.

There are many other aspects to this technique, but in essence, it influences perception, which can dramatically change what you see and then do.

Timeline Therapy

So often, our responses are not proportional to the situation. We have all found ourselves reacting to a situation in ways we know are not healthy or wise. This is often referred to as being ‘triggered’ as our reaction is automatic (unconscious). It occurs when we unknowingly bring a past emotional response into a similar current experience, which is not always helpful.

Timeline Therapy technique helps unwrap what the trigger is and allows you to transform negative associations and painful memories to find the learnings or growth you can gain from them. It is not to dismiss that the experiences were hard and maybe even horrible, but it opens doors to find where we might benefit from a situation so it doesn’t leave a sour taste in our mouths. This allows you to respond to the next situation deliberately and thoughtfully rather than reactively.

Coaching

Often, we get trapped in a way of thinking. Having guidance and strategies to navigate and practise thinking differently aids us in getting out of our own way. Just as swimming, dancing or other activities will improve with coaching, so will your capacity to navigate life challenges and change how you respond in situations. We can all get stuck in patterns. An external person such as a coach can help us create the changes we so desire, making life manageable and, better still, enjoyable.

For example, if we want to do well in an interview, it is always suggested to visualise and practise prior to the event. Part of my role as your coach is to assist you in seeing where practice is needed, how that can look, and breaking it into small enough steps to have success.

It is easy to think we need to do it alone, but having support can make the overwhelming seem possible.

I will support you to find awareness and develop tools to know where and how to make change.
